Hampi rocks!!
All right, let's head down to Tamil Nadu.
Yes indeed.
The "tastefully" decorated Hanuman temple interior.
Eye to eye with mighty Ganesh...
Weaving carpet... and trying it straight away :-)
The late descendants of Hanuman.
They came from fare away to give their offerings to the deities.
According to Hindu legends, this is the birthplace of Hanuman the monkey faced god.
The prehistoric terrain of the Hampi region...
Symbiosis of species.
To all of you from Karnataka :-)
The creator of the best Veg' tali in Hampi.
Brahmins after poja.
No one is in the hurry...( with the old aqua-duct in the back)
Harmonious village life..
The modest interior of our new-found casita.
....shall be found. And so it has been.
A proud stone miner.
The little hidden cottage in the middle of unspoiled nature that we have found and managed to squat while here.
This is Hampi, the former capital of the Vijayanagara empire,
with the main entrance of Virupaksha temple.
